Hey girl.
(Or guy, I don’t judge.)
Guess what?
Ryan Gosling is the new Blade Runner.
The 35-year-old actor confirmed that his next film would Blade Runner 2, although he refused to go into any more details beyond that.
“There’s a chip in me, and if I say anything more, I’ll explode if I say anything else,” Gosling joked.
The project as a whole has been heavily kept under wraps. We know that filmmaker Dennis Villeneuve (Prisoners, Sicario) is slated to direct the project, while cinematographer Roger Deakins (Skyfall, True Grit, The Shawshank Redemption) is set to shoot the picture. The director of the original film Ridley Scott is set to produce, and Harrison Ford is expecting to reprise his role as well. All othere elements of the plot, however, are a complete mystery. We don’t know what the premise is, nor how Ford or Gosling play into it.
We’re expected to hear more about it once production rolls around. Until then, are you excited to see Gosling entering the fray of Blade Runner? Comment below, let me know.
